Hach’s Orbisphere 3100 Pushes the Boundaries of Durability and Reliability for Portable Oxygen Analyzers

Hach Company introduces the Orbisphere 3100, the most rugged, reliable and long-lasting portable optical dissolved oxygen analyzer in the industry. Used primarily by the beverage and power industries, it is designed to withstand the harshest environments with a stainless steel IP66 certified enclosure. "Typical optical sensors usually require calibration every 6 months, however, you only need to calibrate the Hach Orbisphere 3100 a maximum of once per year. It maintains measurement accuracy significantly longer than other optical oxygen sensors, making it the most stable sensor with the longest calibration interval in the industry," explained Scott White, Industrial Application Manager. "And when calibration is finally necessary, it can be done on site."
With no membranes to replace or electrolyte to replenish, time spent servicing the sensor is cut in half. There is no need to send the instrument to the factory because the optical sensing spot can be replaced and calibrated by the user, minimizing down time.

Hach Offers Fastest E. coli Presence/Absence Test on the Market Hach’s Modified Colitag can deliver results in 16 hours, allowing drinking water facilities to get EPA- approved results overnight.

Hach Company announces that it has expanded its presence/absence product offering to include Modified Colitag, the fastest presence/absence test in the market—with a 16 or 22 hour testing timeframe. This allows drinking water facilities to begin a test at 5:00 p.m. and get EPA-approved results by 9:00am the following morning.
The product also provides unparalleled flexibility by offering two testing parameters in one product: a 16 hour or a 22 hour test. Being able to select between two tests in one product, allows drinking water facilities to set up the best timeframes for their staffing and to adjust tests as needed, without changing methods. This means less set-up time and provides rapid testing. In addition, Hach’s Modified Colitag provides users with valid results for up to 32 hours after the completion of the test. This best-in-class testing timeframe allows for a flexible workflow and also allows a facility to test over a weekend.
